Cultural Resource Monitoring

Our representatives monitor ground disturbance on construction sites that are within the footprint of a known archaeological site. We also offer assistance with environmental and archaeological testing. All of our representatives have direct lineage to the areas in which earth work is taking place, and many are 13th and 14th generation Chumash still living in their ancestral homelands.

The intention of doing this work is to have a direct avenue for our people to connect with our ancestors by entrusting them with protecting sites of known occupation. Our monitors are on site during ground disturbance ensuring our ancestors and their belongings are protected.
